FRACTURED LEG AND ANKLE WHILE OPERATING A FORKLIFT

While on the job at Portland Air Freight, our client received a fractured leg and ankle while operating a forklift. He attempted to unload a truck using the forklift, but the truck rolled away from the dock causing the forklift to fall to the ground and injuring our client. During trial, the defense argued our client was at fault for the accident by not independently checking the truck brakes and chocks. During trial, the defense argued our client was at fault for the accident by not independently checking the truck brakes and chocks. We didn’t buy that. Through hard work on our part, we showed that the defendant failed to engage the air brakes or chock the truck and proved our client was not at fault. We were not going to give up until we got the result we wanted for our client.
