Multiple bone fractures sustained in two falls on property stairs
Plaintiff Doreen M. injured herself twice by falling down the stairs from her rented unit in her landlord’s three story house. The accidents occurred two months apart, and Allstate Insurance denied liability.
The first fall resulted in a number of fractured ribs, a broken right arm, and broken femur. The second injury consisted of a hip fracture.
Despite the initial refusal to offer compensation, the parties ultimately settled this case for a total of $220,000.
