Attorney Tom Downing has been fighting for victims of car accidents for more than 20 years. He has extensive trial experience in Maine courts and currently helps lead the team of Lewiston and Portland personal injury lawyers at Hardy, Wolf & Downing.
Tom Downing was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated Magna cum laude from Tufts University (B.A., 1971), attended the University of Kent in Canterbury, England (M.A., 1973), and received his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 1978.
Tom Downing was admitted to the Maine Bar and U.S. Federal District Court in 1978. He began his legal career as Staff Attorney/Lobbyist at the Maine Audubon Society from 1978 to 1981 before joining Bill Hardy to form the team of Lewiston and Portland personal injury lawyers with Hardy, Wolf & Downing. He is a member of the Maine Bar Association, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
